Everyone talks about tropical destination weddings, but what about the north? Snow maybe?
yes absolutely, my sister was married in Northern Michigan at Castle Farms. It was a breath-taking cinderella type wedding. It was in an old castle that they use just for weddings. It wasn’t in the winter months though, she got married in August. But I would imagine that they do weddings all year round if you were looking for a snowy back-drop. best of luck
I am looking to get married on a small, private beach in Connecticut in June of 2008. Has anyone ever had one or heard anything about them? Are they truly magical or are they more work than they’re worth? Please help me. We’re sending out invites soon and I’d like to tell people where it’s going to be.
I live in New England and New England can be very rainy during the month of June but the upside is it is not as hot and muggy as July or August. I live in Maine and alot of people I know that have outdoor weddings in the summer check out farmers almanac to see what they predict for the weather. So far they all have had succesful unrainy weddings. I know some people may think Farmers almanac a joke but it is pretty acurate. It wouldn’t hurt to spend a few bucks to get one and pick your date according to that.

Generally speaking, because the only access is by barge, helicopter or water taxi, and because it is expensive both in terms of fares and time to get there, wedding service providers from Brisbane are reluctant to go there, particularly if the couple expects the service to be provided for the same cost as in Brisbane.
A generous offer of compensation for time, to make up for the service provider virtually having to dedicate the whole day to your wedding, may also help.

I have been thinking more and more about where to get married and have decided I really like the idea of doing it while out on a cruise! Anyone have any suggestions or ideas for me?
i would consider the current economic situation. consider that grandma may not be able to afford it or your best friend can’t afford to go.
put it this way. have a local wedding, i can attend, and you get 100 bucks from me as a gift. have a destination wedding and you get a rsvp saying i can’t attend and no gift.
